Attack on Titan: Crimson Bow and Arrow is the first recap movie of the first season of the anime series, Attack on Titan. It was released in Japan on November 22, 2014. The movie primarily focuses on the events that took place in the first 13 episodes of the anime. The story follows Eren Yeager and his friends, Mikasa and Armin, who are thrown into a world where humanity is constantly under attack by Titans, monstrous beings that devour humans seemingly without reason. Along with the rest of the military, they discover a way to fight back against the Titans using special weapons called "vertical maneuvering equipment," which allows them to use cables and hooks to swing through the air and attack the Titans' weak points. The movie recaps the major events of the series, including the fall of Wall Maria, the battle of Trost District, and the Female Titan's rampage. It also includes some additional scenes and the iconic opening theme song "Guren no Yumiya". The movie was directed by Tetsuro Araki and produced by Wit Studio.
